About Frameless Units
Nothing makes a bigger impression in a bathroom than a glass enclosure. The ability to see the tile behind the enclosure allows for depth and the illusion of a much larger space. Many smaller bathrooms seem quite sizable when a glass enclosure replaces a framed system or a shower curtain. Another trend we see is the use of designer glass. Designer glass can be colored or have actual texture. We also are doing much more acid etched glass that provides a level of privacy to the enclosure. We also use acid etched glass for closet doors, entry doors and room dividers.
TYPES OF FRAMELESS
The most common frameless enclosure is clear glass with wall mount hinges and an adjacent panel. We can add a return panel to make and “L” type design. There are also “NEO” angle units that provide a beautiful corner unit. Whatever the design of your shower, we can custom manufacture the glass to fit and function perfectly.
When we use the word frameless, we are referring to a unit that has no frame around the door unit. A frameless unit can have a header for a safe and strong design but the door will have no frame. Also if we refer to a frameless bypass, this would be a unit with a header to house the roller mechanism and a sill to guide the glass. There would be no frame around the glass slider doors. If the slider doors have a frame around them, this unit would be considered a “framed bypass”

FRAMED AS AN OPTION
We can offer very economical framed units with very attractive finishes such as Oil Rubbed Bronze and Brushed Nickel. The traditional silver and gold anodized is also available and these types of enclosures make great 2nd bath options. See the framed unit section for more details.
